  1. Change protocol
  2. Refresh miniports
  3. Reinstall uVPN

Change protocol

To fix the problem, the very first action you should try is to change the protocol.

To change uVPN protocol you need to follow the steps below.

Open uVPN, press the Preferences tab and choose Protocols

Connection cannot be established fix

Disable Optimal protocol selection and manually change protocol

Connection cannot be established manually change protocol

Press the Save button and give uVPN another try to connect to the chosen location.

If the protocol change won’t help, try the next solution.

Refresh miniports

To refresh miniports do next:

  1. Open Device Manager
  2. Find Network Adapters
  3. Uninstall WAN Miniport (IKEv6), WAN Miniport (IP), WAN Miniport(IPv6) and WAN Miniport (PPTP).
  4. Click Action > Scan for hardware changes
  5. The adapters you just uninstalled should come back
  6. Try connecting again

If refreshing protocols will not fix the Connection cannot be established problem, do the next step.

Reinstall uVPN

To reinstall uVPN you need to:

Press the Search bar in the bottom-left corner of the Windows desktop, type Control Panel and press Enter

Press Uninstall a program in the new window

Find and uninstall uVPN, OpenVPN and TAP-Windows

Download uVPN for Windows. If you already have a uVPN installer, install the app again.

Sometimes though, such an easy procedure as Email confirmation can be very tricky. Here some tips that should help:

  • Make sure you’re using a valid Email address. If not so, just create a new account.
  • In some cases, verification e-mail can be trapped in a junk or spam folder. Check the folder and unmark the letter as spam.
